Howdy hip shakers and foot-stompers. Blues Before Sunrise is back in town to roost a whole lotta Blues dancing for all you lovers of syncopated low down rhythms. The event of the year just got bigger and it kicks off on Friday evening with a Dj Battle using cross faders for fisty cuffs as they wage war with some of the best blues/ slow swing tacks this side of the Yarra (or Mississippi if you like.)
Friday’s night’s dj’s will be pulling out their finest floor fillers to win the now inaugural BBS Australian Blues DJ of the Year via your applause.
So kick start an amazing weekend by catching up with friends both old and new and set the tone for one the biggest Blues dancing events of the year.

With everything set for another amazing BBS the wheels are set in motion with some late night gritty Delta Blues. In the form of well known masters of roots/blues: Brothers Grim, its time to unrestrain those blues dancing skills into the shadows and set the tone for what measures up to an amazing night of hip shaking. Bring many shirts and arm pit spray. This is not to missed!

BBS serves you another flavour of blues as we shift gears to a classy, stylish evening reminiscent of an afterparty at the Cotton Club. With plenty of material dished out at the workshops during the day you’ll be inspired to dance all night. Pull out your fancy frocks and debonair dacks as the music treat takes a turn down the Main Street of New Orleans. The ever soulful singer Jess Gordon brings Traditional Jazz to BBS that will be yet another highlight of the weekend! (Keep an eye out for dance performances throughout the night).
